Military Rebate Program FAQs
Customers (or their spouse) must be in active duty, active reserve, retired, or a veteran within 12 months of separation from the U.S. Military, including:
- United States Army
- Navy
- Air Force
- Marine Corps
- National Guard
- Coast Guard
- Space Force
Customers must be eligible at the commencement of the Program Period and purchase or lease an Eligible Vehicle from a participating Dealership.
Eligible Customers using the Military Customer Rebate can utilize the finance source of their choice, including any special or standard Santander Consumer USA Financial APR or Lease Financing, or pay cash for the Eligible Vehicle, and remain eligible for any applicable MMNA customer rebate, dealer incentive, or dealer delivery bonus.
Below are further details on Program Eligibility:
- Eligible Customers must take delivery within the Program period
- Military Rebate may be combined with Loyalty Rebate or Conquest Rebate (when offered)
- Military Rebate is not transferable
Proof of active duty, active reserve, retired or veteran U.S. Military Service.
a. Active duty or active reserve personnel, the purchaser must provide one of the following documents:
b. Current (within the last 30 days) Leave and Earnings Statement (LES).
c. Department of Defense (DOD) letter from their Commanding Officer verifying active duty status.
- Print out from https://scra.dmdc.osd.mil/scra/#/single-record verifying current active duty status.
d. Retired U.S. Military personnel, purchaser must provide one of the following documents:
- Current (within the last 12 month) Retiree Account Statement (RAS)
- Most recent 1099-R or CRSC (Combat Related Special Compensation) or CRDP (Concurrent Retirement Disability Pay) Statement from Defense Finance and Accounting Service, U.S. Military Retirement Pay.
e. Grey-Area Retirees who do not have RAS due to their age, DOD letter notifying Eligibility for Retired Pay at Age 60 and current driver’s license. Grey-Area Retirees who are over 60 years old must also provide copy of current (within the last 12 month) RAS.
f. Veteran who is within 12 months of separation from active service, purchaser must provide DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
g. Proof of eligibility documents for spouse of eligible U.S. Military personnel when only the spouse is listed on the purchase/lease agreement:
- Proof of U.S. Military Status of the spouse described above and Marriage certificate of the U.S. Military personnel.
h. Proof of eligibility documents for surviving spouse of eligible U.S. Military personnel: Proof of U.S. Military Status of the spouse described above or DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, and Marriage certificate of the U.S. Military personnel.
